Ira C. Bostic, Sr., 95 of St. Albans passed away June 19, 2017. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he was recipient of The Purple Heart; Retired from Union Carbide; Past Master and 50 year member of Charleston Masonic Lodge #153 AF & AM, current member of Kanawha Lodge 20 AF & AM; Tyrian Chapter #13 Royal Arch Masons, Red Cross of Costatine West Virginia Conclave, Kanawha Commandery #4 Knights Templar and Beni Kedem Shrine and was a Clown. Ira was Doorkeeper at The W.VA. Legislature for over 20 years. Preceding him in death was his wife Ruth Beheler Bostic and son, Ira "Pudgy" Bostic, Jr. Survivors include his sons, Bert Bostic and wife Heather of Midland, Texas and Leslie Bostwick and wife Judy of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Becky Bostic of St. Albans; brother, Donald Bostic and wife Marlene of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren, Amity Bostic, Kara Mittelstead, Anne Bostic, Aaron Beaver, Jarrett Bostwick and Jennifer Bostwick and Eight Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday June 24, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Loretta Isaiah officiating. Burial with Military and Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Kanawha Lodge 20 AF & AM will follow in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one prior to services, also at the church. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Beni Kedem Shrine Transportation Fund, 100 Quarrier Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
